Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using EdLight Code, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.
Use of Our Services
You may use our platform for lawful educational purposes only. You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with others
- Submit work that is not your own for certification
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures
- Use the platform to distribute malicious content
- Request chargebacks or payment reversals fraudulently
Free and Paid Services
EdLight Code offers both free and paid services:
- Most learning resources, including lessons, exercises, and projects, are free to access
- Official certificates of completion require a fee
- Some premium tracks or advanced content may require payment
- Pricing is clearly displayed before any purchase
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect purchases already completed.
Payment Processing
We use third-party payment processors to handle all transactions securely:
- MonCash – for mobile money payments in Haiti
- NatCash – for mobile money payments in Haiti
- SogePay – for card and mobile payments in Haiti
- Stripe – for international card payments outside Haiti
By making a payment, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of the respective payment processor. EdLight Labs does not store your full payment card details or mobile money PINs on our servers.
Refund Policy
Due to the digital nature of our services:
- Certificate fees are non-refundable once a certificate has been issued
- Track access fees are non-refundable once content has been accessed
- Refund requests for technical issues must be submitted within 7 days of purchase
- Refunds, if approved, will be processed via the original payment method
To request a refund, contact us at labs@edlight.org with your transaction details.
Chargebacks and Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account and revoke any certificates issued. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination and reporting to relevant authorities. Please contact us first to resolve any billing issues.
Certificates
Certificates are issued upon successful completion of learning tracks and payment of applicable fees. Certificates are personal achievements tied to your account and should not be misrepresented, falsified, or transferred to others. We reserve the right to revoke certificates obtained through fraud or violation of these terms.
Intellectual Property
All content on our platform, including lessons, exercises, and materials, is the property of EdLight Labs or its content creators. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.
Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the platform. Upon termination, you lose access to your account and any associated content. Fees paid are not refundable upon termination for cause.
Limitation of Liability
EdLight Labs provides educational content "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our platform, including but not limited to payment processing errors handled by third-party providers.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Haiti. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be submitted to the appropriate courts in Haiti.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
