Build an Electronics Enclosure

Create a hollow box with mounting holes and ventilation slots.

Outer Box

  • Size: 10 × 5 × 6 (W × H × D)
  • Wall thickness: 0.3

Features

  • Hollow interior
  • 4 corner mounting holes (cylinders)
  • Ventilation slots on one side

Steps

  1. Create outer box
- Box: 10 × 5 × 6 - Position: Y = 2.5
  1. Create inner box (hollow tool)
- Box: 9.4 × 4.7 × 5.4 - Position: Y = 2.65 (slightly higher for bottom)
  1. Subtract inner from outer
- Creates hollow shell
  1. Create mounting hole (one)
- Cylinder: radius 0.3, height 0.5 - Position at corner
  1. Duplicate hole to all 4 corners
  1. Union all holes into one tool
  1. Subtract holes from enclosure

Advanced Challenge

Add ventilation slots:

  1. Create thin box (slot shape)

  2. Duplicate 3-4 times in row

  3. Union into one tool

  4. Subtract from side wall
