Create a Simple Cup

Create a Cup Using Subtract

Make a simple cup by subtracting a smaller cylinder from a larger one.

Steps

  1. Create the outer cylinder (cup body)
- Add a cylinder - Scale: X=1, Y=1.5, Z=1 - Position: Y=0.75 (sitting on grid)
  1. Create the inner cylinder (hollow inside)
- Add another cylinder - Scale: X=0.85, Y=1.4, Z=0.85 - Position: Y=0.85 (slightly higher to leave bottom)
  1. Perform the subtract
- Select outer cylinder first - Shift+click inner cylinder - Click Subtract in toolbar
  1. Verify your cup
- Orbit to check it's hollow - Should have walls and a bottom

Success Criteria

✓ Boolean operation performed
✓ At least one object in scene (the cup)

Bonus Challenge

Add a handle:

  1. Create a torus

  2. Scale and rotate it

  3. Position against the cup

  4. Union with the cup

Tip: Make sure the inner cylinder is taller than the outer minus some thickness for the bottom!
