Create a Peg and Hole

Design Mating Parts

Let's create two parts that fit together: a peg and a hole.

Task

  1. Create a base with hole - A box (4×1×4 units) with a cylinder removed
  2. Create a peg - A cylinder (diameter ~0.9 units, height 2 units)
  3. The peg should be slightly smaller than the hole for tolerance!

Tolerance Applied

  • Hole diameter: 1 unit (10mm)
  • Peg diameter: ~0.97 units (9.7mm)
  • This 0.3mm gap allows them to fit together
Position both parts on the build plate!
