Create a Two-Part Box

Design a Two-Part Assembly

Create a simple two-part design: a box and its lid.

Task

  1. Create the box base - A larger box (3×2×3 units)
  2. Create the lid - A slightly larger box (3.1×0.5×3.1 units)
  3. Position both on the build plate separately

Assembly Design Tips

  • Lid is slightly larger to fit over the base
  • Add alignment features in real designs
  • Both parts print flat for best quality
The extra 0.1 units (1mm) creates the overlap needed for assembly.
